Even with the challenge of Bradley and McCain pulling out
of the race the day before the election, the Internet-based
PulsePoll tracked with election results in the Colorado presidential
primary.
The PulsePoll Primary | Colorado exactly projected the vote
for Bradley at 23 percent and was within one percent of the
vote for Gore and Keyes. The PulsePoll correctly tracked McCain's
decline from 35 percent before his announcement to 25 percent
the last 24 hours before voting. McCain's actual vote was
27 percent. The PulsePoll tracked Bush's upward movement from
53 percent before the announcement to 58 percent during the
last 24 hours but was less than his actual vote of 65 percent.
The PulsePoll web based Colorado primary polling started on
Friday March 3rd and allowed for daily tracking of results
through Thursday, March 8th, the day before the election on
many daily and weekly newspaper web sites in Colorado. The
Colorado Association co-sponsored the PulsePoll primary.
